A soft, large gum drop flavoured with real anise seed and licorice. These Crows were introduced in 1890, making them a truly old fashioned candy! Crows were made by two confectioners, Henrique Cataldi and Joseph Maison. The original name was "Black Crows". Apparently, Henrique and Joseph intended for these candies, "Black Crows" to be called "Black Rose" but the printer misheard them and mistakenly printed the name wrong on all the packaging! Crows or rose, a delicious retro candy!
